Kiva Kumbha Mela 2019
The natural currents of fresh sweet water from all over the world are seriously endangered by many causes, almost all of them related to directly or indirectly by the human beings actions. To visualize this planetary reality, representatives and native leaders of the world will meet for the first time in history, at India, in February 2019.
The purpose of the Kiva Kumbha Mela ceremony is to unify the ancestral cultures of the world in a single dance, a single song and a single prayer for the protection of the Sacred Rivers.
This act of faith and purification will aim to generate concrete actions to promote the Rights of Rivers in the world; start an international clean-up and rescue campaign; create international alliances between groups and organizations and, through ceremonies, honor the legacy of the ancestral traditions that have given voice to Mother Earth to live in harmony, fullness and internal balance with the cycles of nature, the cosmos and life .
The Kiva of Raíces de la Tierra has served to create international alliances among indigenous nations promoting the millenary practice of prayer uniting different traditions, creating a space of spiritual appreciation, and leaving a legacy for future generations
The Kumbha Mela is the largest interreligious festival in the world, with international visibility, bringing together thousands of sadhus (women and wise men) and ascetics of all mystical traditions to spread love, knowledge, fraternity and spirituality.
The ceremony will take place in Allahabad, India, hosted by Ganga Action Parivar and Parmath Niketam.
